Membership in our Order
The most significant way to experience the richness of Elks Initiation is to sponsor a friend into our organization. This is another privilege which comes to you through your valid membership card. Because our Order is selective, to maintain the quality of our membership and thereby perpetuate the good works that stem from our rigorously-guarded good character, no person can simply walk into one of our Lodges. Only through the sincere invitation and character endorsement of one who is already an Elk can one become an Elk. We give no honorary memberships to outsiders.
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is a noble organization built on foundation of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity. The key to continuing the tradition and honorable works of our Lodge is to grow our Lodge. In order to grow, we need to recruit new members.
The first question that comes to mind is, "How do I do that?" The answer is very simple: you ask people you know! A lot of times individuals don't become members simply because they were never asked. What's to fear? The worst that can happen is that the person tells you "No." In that case you are in the same place you were before. Let's take the initiative and ask people we encounter to join our honorable lodge and help do the good works of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. So, let’s get out and ask the simple question, “Do you want to join the Elks?”
Online Membership Proposals
Membership Proposals are now online. Simply provide the Person’s Name, Email Address and how long you’ve known them and the system will email them an application link that when completed by the candidate will automatically be uploaded to our Lodge Secretary Sam Authement. So, now you no longer need to trouble with manual applications. Just go online and send the link to individuals you want to propose.
